RE: Mazda 6 diesel bhp (UK)
Nothing specific to Mazda diesel's advertised here, but try contacting this guy:
http://www.e-maps.co.uk/products/ This is ECU remapping (aka chipping) to release the full potential of your existing engine, a boost to around 150-160bhp might be possible. Also try http://www.chippeduk.com/ |
RE: Mazda 6 diesel bhp (UK)
I wish we could get diesels here in the US....Diesels havea ton of power potential. Are they turbo diesels that are available?
I have (2) friends with Dodge Cummins turbodiesels that put out over 500 hp and 1000 ft-lbs torque. Ever seen a 7400 lb long bed extended cab 4wd truck on 35" tires run a high 13 second quarter mile???? I have. (I witnessed a crewcab like the above in the 11's) |
RE: Mazda 6 diesel bhp (UK)
in reference to this. I have just bought a Mazda 6 ts 2.0 diesel. You say the engines are identical. I brought mine privately and he told me it was the 136bhp version. The insurance check said it was but he also said it was a TS2 and it aint so how can i check for sure if i have the 136bhp version or the 121bhp version? If i have the 121 pressumably I can modify it with a new ECU to give me the 136bhp. I got it dead cheap so spending a little more is no biggy
