Mazda 6 2008 lower control arms and trailing links

Hello guys, I drive a 2008 Mazda 6 , it has 25.000 miles and for some reason I'm having problems with the steering, I took it to the dealer and they told me I need to get both lower control arms replaced and also the trailing links. However on the paper they gave me it doesnt say the position of the lower control arms (forward or rearward) is there any way I can know? And also what exactly are the trailing links? By the way the parts are for the front. Thanks in advance

Lower control arms are in the front - though no way they should be bad at 25k.
The trailing links... this is usually a rear end thing, very few front suspensions have something called a trailing link - I had an RX7 which had a bar with this function, but they called it a tension rod. Your FWD vehicle has no such component in the front, just the strut (top pivot for the wheel) and lower control arm (holds the bottom pivot for the wheel).

What's the problem with the steering anyhow? pulls, rattles, tight?
And if there's a steering problem, it's highly unlikely that anything in the rear is the cause.
