Mazda 6 -03 engine replace
Hi
I'm about to replace my broke engine to a new one. Does anyone know if you have to take the engine off downwords under the car, or is it as i hope upwords? I know that on some vehicles you need to take it off downwords under the car. Further on i wonder if i should lift the gearbox among with the engine and mount it on the new engine outside the car? What gaskets do i need to replace, is there any more than mainfold gasket and intake gasket? Does anybody has any other useful tips i should have in mind when starting my replace work. I got a Mazda 6 2.3 Sport 2003. Regards /Niklas |
I like to take it down pull it out with the trans it makes it a lot easier.Gasket wise it all depends how assembled the new engine is. Good luck.

I never pull out my engine, but i think that it'll come out form downside. and intake gasket is good for it, try it.

Done!
Well, my car got its new engine now. We pulled out the engine upwords, together with the gearbox, no problems at all.
Had a little problem to set the ignition correct so we drove the car to a workshop to fix it. Thanks for your responses. |
