Mazada 6 diesel or Mazda 3 petrol?
 

6 diesel or 3 petrol?

Hey folks,

I've recently put a deposit down on a 2016 plate Mazda 6 2.2 diesel, with 54k miles on the clock. I love the car, but was unaware of all the horror stories about this engine.

The car has a full service history.

The dealer also has a 2027 Mazda 3 2.0 petrol, with 43k miles, at a similar price.

Should I ditch the 6 and go with the 3 instead?

I do occasional monthly long drives, but most of my driving is short distances.

Any help would be appreciated!

Ditch the diesel. Too much of a mechanical risk.

Test drive the Mazda3 and see if it has enough power for you. Some people complain they are a bit slow.
