Default manual transmission

Anyone else have issues with the manual transmission slipping. this started only at higher speeds but not does it at almost any speed. when shifting it revs high then comes back down after 1-2 seconds. what could be causing this? clutch? transmission?

Clutch. It's the only thing in a manual that can slip.

Clutch?? or transmission???

Manual transmissions are known to pop out of gear ifa syncro is bad, or if the shift linkage system has a problem. They can jump, buck and generally carry on if a gear tooth has be damaged. Whine if a bearing is going bad,but there is nothing to "slip" in a manual. (???)
It's the clutch that slips, as you describe, when it"s worn out or defective.

Ask them, "how can a manual trans slip??" I'm curious to hear what kind of BS they spew at you.

That's one of the craziest things I"ve ever heard of....

thats what i asked them " you sure its not the clutch??" her words were "thats what i thought at first but the clutch feels strong" she said " i would step on the gas to accelerat and it would redline then clunk like it was dropping into gear" this is the place we were possibly going to trade it into. so ofcourse they are going to lowball it but still not sure if it sounds right at all. i called the mazda dealer here they said it sounds like clutch too but havent actually taken it to them yet.
