Losing Oil Somewhere
Hi Everyone,
Newbie here. I almost bought a 2012 mazda 6, 2.5 with 116,000 miles from a toyota dealership. Negotiated price of $5600 plus tax etc. The previous owned kept up on the maintenance but it has a few minor cosmetic issues. Here is my dilemma. They let me drive it for a few days. The second day I had it the oil light was coming on when cornering. I took it home and let it sit. Checked the oil and only the tip showed any oil. I put in 2 quarts and it read full. Drove it a little that day and the next day could barely get a reading on the dip stick. There is a sticker on the windshield from the dealership where they had just changed the oil. I took it back to the dealership and they put it in the shop. Several days later they called me and said it wasn't leaking anywhere. This bothers me. The oil went somewhere. I'm thinking I should run away from this car. Thoughts?
Thanks much,
Rick
