I have a 2009 Mazda6 that I've been having issues with over the last week. It initially started last Thursday when I left the gym. Got into the car, per usual, but when I tried to start it the brake and steering wheell seemed locked and the push start didn't work. The dash lit up, but it would not turn over. After about 30 minutes, I eventually got it to start with my remote starter. Two days go by, no issues. Then Sunday, I couldn't get it to start again. Same scenario. My friend's husband messed around with the gear and some sort of lockout mechanism on the shifter and managed to get it started. I remote started it Monday morning before work. I got to work fine but when I tried to leave, it wouldn't start again. It's still sitting in the parking lot at work. I've tried to start it randomly since with no luck. I've tried both fobs and replaced the batteries. No luck. The car with a lock icon flashes on the dash. Sometimes the red key flashes too. Anyone else had this issue before?
