Interior
After being a new Mazda6 owner for a month now, I can say that I truly enjoy the car (would be nice if the v6 was a little better on gas), but there is one "fault" that I hope Mazda addresses in the '08 verson of the 6. The interior feels a little on the cheap compared to some of its competitors. This morning, I rode to work in a Camry and the diffence was quite clear. The door handles felt like they were securely mountedwhile there is quite a bit of flexin the Mazda. In fact, the interior just feels more "substantial" in the Toyata than it does in the Mazda. Thismay not be a problem under normal use, but if they want to compete against a car like the Camry or Accord (which have become the standardby which all others are judged), they've got to improvein this area.
I am a new Mazda owner as well...well new used. an '06 with 23k miles. I find the mazda to have pretty decent interior. Then again, my last 3 cars were mustangs. Granted, the Mazda's have a lot of american parts in them now. Ive been in BMWs and many luxury cars.
Maybe Honda and Toyota have better quality interiors and whatnot, but the Mazda is just a more fun car all around. Toyota Camry and Civic/Accord are just plain bland. That is the reason I went with Mazda. Great styling, in and out and has a nice sporty feel. I am very happy with my decision and won't look back. Though I've been a Mustang man, this is where I'm happy right now.

Sounds like we almost bought the same car! I agree with what you said and to be fair, the interior really isn't that bad. I also agree that the 6 is definately a fun to drive car and styling is great (although I have to give Toyota some credit on the latest encarnation of the Camry).
