Default Infotainment Control ****?

Anyone,

I have a 2017 Mazda6 Grand Touring with the Tech Package. About 45k miles. Bought it new.

My Infotainment screen is going nuts when the car is stopped. The "cursor" moves around and makes selections, Very annoying. This does not happen when the car is in motion. I assume this is because the system goes into lockout mode. My first thought is that there is something going on with the control ****.

Has anyone experienced this?

Get it scanned for fault codes.

Sounds like the dreaded ghost screen.

Yep, ghost touch, I've seen it mostly on Mazda 3 but I read it happens on 6 and MX-5. There is a warranty service 7 years program extension for Mazda 3 (see below Service Bulletin)
If dealer or Mazda Corp. don't want to honor warranty there is a video showing how to disconnect resistive film screen from system.
