Hello to all; On my 2007 Mazda 6 the horn is no longer working when use from the steering wheel : ie : works fine when locking the doors with remote (horn comes on ) So the relay, horns, fuse ,etc from inside the engine are Ok; But when using the horn from inside: nothing(relay not cliking neither) I suspect maybe (but i could be wrong..) clockspring or else .(BCM..). or...All others functions from steering are ok ; I am not too keen to dismantle the steering , is there a way to diagnos. this or i am totally out and far from the causes of problem..? Thanks .

 

Update : I just find out that when the immobilyser red sign (key logo ) lit on , the horn seems to work from steering operation... The thing is that the red key sign lit like partially, not fully lit... So whenever this sign comes on , the horn is operational ; I think both horn and immob. are going through the BCM module.. Maybe not relevant, i dont know; Also if the clockspring was in cause , would it be any other functions not working..? In my case only horn does not operate.. I am quite lost with this horn situation from steering .. confuse me...

 

Any Thoughts on this matter ..? Thanks really ..

Is there anybody who had seen this problem before : the horns works when using the remote-key fob ( locking doors button push twice) but no horns from steering wheel ;I did remove the steering and everything looks fine, at least as is ;NO other malfunctions from steering controls ,(audio radio cruise etc ) only horns not working .. So: clock spring or Body control module or..other ..? Thanks ; Mazda 6 2007 wagon.
