are HID headlights safe?

hi, everyone

It's my first post here.
I just wanted to know if installing the HID lights is safe.
I have been wanting to get them since i bought my 6 but the dealer says they do not recommend it because it might burn up the wiring.
Are there safe HID headlights on the market that won't harm the electrical wiring in the car?
Does anyone have HID installed in their cars and have no problem with it?
Thank you

I've heard no problems from those who have done it, however there is always a danger

the danger is when you install stolen HIDs on your car and start glueing and hacking them to make it fit then it can start melting your parts or you could possibly get electricuted.
but if you want to do it correctly you need to purchase a conversion kit, with exact fit bulbs.

The only time I've heard of problems like that is when people put in 100w bulbs when the hid lights use 55/65w bulbs. As long as it's a true conversion kit, you should be fine.

I have HIDs in there and they work fine. The stock watts are 55 so if you buy a 35 HID kit you will be fine. I have a 50 watt HID kit and so far I have been fine, if you are a bit unsure, there is a wiring harness you can buy with the HID kit to be on the safe side.
