help! please thermo plug and sensors on mazda 6

hello so i recently swapped my motor i have a 2004 mazda 6 and i put a 2007 mazda 6 motors swapped intake cams and cover and all sensors. she is running beautifully. the thermostat sensor plug will not plug up? it lines up but wont clip on? trying to figure that out? also the car when coming to a stop to go into idle it fluctuates and dies. was reading and it says could be throttle body? so i think i might switch that out to see if it fixes the die idle. and the only major problem im having is the thermostat sensor plug does not want to connect. it lines up and matches!!!????? also my traction control light is on and tcs light says off on the dash. and in the beginning of driving i here a noise sounds like it coming from rotor. rotors look like they are getting rusted but it could be one of the lower ball joints?

When you swap the engine re-use absolutely everything off the old engine, all manifolds, pipes, hoses, sensors wiring etc.

Get a code check for the TCS light. Could be something you've done in the engine bay or it could be the grinding noise.

i figured it out got everything connected and she is running great no check engine light now! i did a motor swap out of a 2007 mazda 6i motor and tranny into a 2004 mazda 6i. i love that i had to swap everything over from old motor and put 2004 intake cam in the 2007. pretty neat and transmission works good for it being a six speed and my car being 5 speed computer. other than that im running a 2007 motor trans in a 2004!!!!! 45000 miles on the new motor. was well worth the time and wait cost allot of money tho!
