Headrest Removal problem? HELP
 
Car - 2006 Mazda 6 - 4cyc - Sports edition - fully loaded

I recently purchased new seat covers for the car and up to now had no reason to remove the headrest and now that i need to remove it in order to put on the new seat covers, I am not able to get it out at all. I have never experienced this problem with any of the my previous cars and I am pressing the button and pulling the headrest up but it goes up about 2-3 levels and from there it wont come out at all. And if i try forcing, it feels like the seat is about to come of the car.

Please if anyone can help let me know soon as possible regarding this issue. I have spoken also with dealership technicians they were not able to remove it at all. And if it is removeable please give me some solid proof i can argue the dealer ship so they can perhaps fix this problem or replace my seats thank you!

HELLO, I FOUND THIS VIDEOS AS I WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS YOU. I WAS SO THRILLED TO FIND THIS VIDEO. NOT SPAM SO JUST WATCH IT. EASY PEASY. Ok so I cant upload it for some damn reason but Google mazda 6 head rest removal there is s video if a mazda 2008 head rest removal. Watch it ...there is a pin hole opening on the other side of the opposite rod push it and the other side button in and pull up it works. You have to stick in straight to get it to go up.
