I have a 54 plate Mazda 6 diesel estate. To date I have had very little problem with it. However in November I suffered a total loss of power. Upon diagnosis by Mazda a refurbished diesel pump was installed (I note the discussion on various forum on topic) My problems, though, have really occurred since then in that loss of power nevers seems far away. Most recently I noticed the Sedimentor light staying on after engine start and following the procedure in the users manual I have been able to expel some alarming amounts of crud from the fuel filter not water. One of my local garages is diagnosing fuel contamination. Upon contacting a second garage to clear the tank they are recommending return to Mazda. This is rasing an alarm bell in my mind that there is a hidden problem here - curious to hear others with similar problems.
