Factory Stock Speaker size
 

Does anyone know what the factory stock speaker size is in the "6"? I want to replace all of my four door speakers.

Measured at 5 3/4 inches by 8 inches so guess that would make 6X8. Front and rear identical in doors.
Top 2 pics speaker measurement. 3rd is front speaker. 4th is rear speaker. Sorry came out so dark. Looked great on this computer.

now are those speaker sizes for a 6 with the bose upgrade or the 6 with the non-bose?

circuit city or bestbuy should have the sizes in one of their handy size catalogs...its where i found out my sizes....one thing you need to also keep in mind is the DEPTH of the speakers!

ah, the depth of the speakers. that would explain why the speaker sizes would vary so much at times. I did an exact model search and came up with so many different sizes. now i got it, I think that classifies pretty much to having a "blonde moment". darn ;)

That is the non-bose size but I would expect the bose to be same as they would probably not make an entire separate door unit just for a speaker. The depth of the OE speaker is 2 1/8 inches from mount surface to back of magnet. Looks like you have got a max depth of 3 1/4 inches before it will interfer with window operation. Max depth for rear is a little greater at 4 1/8 inches as the window does not get down that far.
