Exchanging 2004 to 2005+ Mazda Rims
I currently own a 2004 Mazda 6S, I am getting tired of the old rim look and looking for a new Mazda rim look. My question is, what kind of rims should I look for? I heard if you get different rim sizes it throws everything off and I just want to be able to get an exact fit if need be so I can just get them and put them on myself!
Tips/Input Needed!!! Thanks, Tim |
You need to be concerned with the offset. I think it's 60, but most wheel/tire shops shuld have a guide with the exact spec. off by 1 or 2 either direction should still be OK.

Stock offset for the 6 is +60mm, good luck finding aftermarket wheels with that though. You will be fine so long as you don't go lower than 48mm on offset, though even then you may need a slight roll. I've seen people run as low as 30mm but they had their fenders rolled paper thin. As for size throwing things off, I run 18" wheels with 225/45 tires and my speedo is only off by 1mph (which is within factory tolerances for OEM wheels), though I would not recommend going any larger than 18".
Places you can look for wheels are Tire Rack, Discount Tire, and there are plenty of others you can look through just by googling wheels. |
