Default Excess Parts for 06 (and other) Mazda 6

Hi all,

New member here but sadly, not likely to be a long time member. My dearly beloved '06 Mazda 6 2.3i was totalled a while ago by a negligent driver and subsequently, my insurance company. My wife was at the wheel and she's okay (rattled but okay) but another driver in the left lane unexpectedly decided to cut across two lanes of traffic without looking and my wife T-boned him.

Anyway, long story short, as someone who did his own maintenance, who planned to keep his car for a long time and stocked parts in advance of their being needed, I have excess, brand new parts that I have no need for any more. I'm not as interested getting top dollar in return for them (although I'm not opposed :-) so much as I'm interested in getting them to someone who can make used of them. Here's the inventory of what I've got:

  • (1) Fram CA8922 Air Filter
Also good for
2003-08 Mazda 6 2.3L I4
2000-01 Mazda MPV 2.5L V6
2002-06 Mazda – MPV 3.0L V6
  • (1) Fram CH9641 Oil Filter
Also good for
Ford Escape L4 2.3 [2005-2008]
Ford Escape L4 2.5 [2009-2009]
Ford Fusion L4 2.3 [2006-2009]
Mazda 3 L4 2.3 [2004-2009]
Mazda 5 L4 2.3 [2006-2010]
Mazda 6 L4 2.3 [2003-2008]
Mazda 6 L4 2.5 [2009-2011]
Mazda CX-7 L4 2.3 [2007-2009]
Mazda Tribute L4 2.3 [2008-2008]
Mazda Tribute L4 2.5 [2009-2010]
Mercury Mariner L4 2.3 [2006-2008]
Mercury Mariner L4 2.5 [2009-2010]
Mercury Milan L4 2.3 [2006-2009]
  • (1) Raybestos PGD1192C Professional Grade Ceramic Front Brake Set
Also good for 2006-13 Mazda 6
  • (2) Tyc 800024P In Cabin Air Filter
  • (1) Good Year GYR 62702 Pipe To Radiator Lower Radiator Hose
  • (1) Good Year GYR 62703 Engine To Pipe Lower Radiator Hose
  • (2) Beck/Arnley BA 0160131 Oil Filler Caps

Can anyone suggest how to dispose of these parts, or is anyone interested in them? Obviously I want to get rid of the lot. I'm not parting off things piece by piece. I may also have some extra lug nuts lying around somewhere. If you need these, I can throw these in somewhere. You can PM me if you are. Thanks.

Just one thing I'd like to mention in this, given the dearth of replies. I've tried to bring these parts to Goodwill but they don't take car parts (at least in my area) because of liability concerns. You can inspect these parts and see that they're brand new. The only real liability here is if you tried to install them on a car for which they are not meant.

Anyway, it would be a shame to waste these parts but I guess if no Mazda 6 owner wants them, that'll be what happens. They're in North Orange County, CA or I can make arrangements if you want.

Try selling on e-bay or craig's list. Always people looking for a good deal.

Yeah, I thought of that. I was willing to give it away just to avoid the hassle ... but it may come to that.
