2010 Mazda 6. For the last couple of years the door ajar icon sometimes flashes on; even when its parked in the garage all night or at a stop light. I know the doors are latched shut. I have turned off the dome light and taken the bulbs out of the two front doors (courtesy lights) so they won't tax the battery. My mechanic told me it cost about $350 for the fix. I checked with my Mazda dealer on the part and it is about half the cost of what the labor would be. Its not just a switch in the door but a switch/latch assembly. Everything seems to be assemblies these days and much more expensive. Should I just leave it as it is you think because I have anger to have to pay about $350 for essentially a door latch switch.
