Dash LED readout not working untill car warms up

Mazda 6 GS 2006 is the car. The top center of dash has the LED readout. Mine doesnt work untill the car has warmed up. And then the time is wrong etc...Its only been -1 to -5 Celcius (30-32F).

Is anyone else having this problem? Do I just replace the LED peice? or is there an easyier fix?

same problem

i ended up taking mine out and fiddling with it.seems like the connector plug isnt making good contact in the back.i kinda widened the pins out a little to make better contact,it helped for a while but yes when its cold it does the same thing.im thinking its a poor soldering job somewhere.a new one is a few hundred dollars so that wasnt an option for me.heres a link on how to get to it,its a big job

similar problem

I recently bought a 2004 s and the LED display works most of the time, but sometimes will have some missing lines through the screen that are blank or faded. I wonder if it is a soldering problem or perhaps a faulty screen.

2004 6S. Mine is almost always missing part of the display, but it randomly will work for short periods of time. Seems unrelated to temperature, humidity, "warming up", or anything else.
