Newbie here……first time Mazda owner……I’ve just bought a 2015 6 estate and was wondering if anyone, in the UK, RG45 area, could help me do and CMU update to the latest version so that I can add CarPlay.

I just bought a 2019 Mazda6 Estate and managed to get the dealership I was buying from to ask Mazda to do it. It was Ł375. I know that's not what you're asking, but some context on price for you.

 

Thank you….was that to do just a software upgrade or a complete CarPlay conversion?

 

They had to upgrade the software but also replace the USB hardware as it needs a mobile logo next to the socket. It's not wireless, just USB only. It also needs a really good USB cable to work properly, but outside of that... it's good!

Congratulations on your purchase, the Mazda 6 is a great car. Personally, I really advise you to do the CMU update, it changes everything with CarPlay on a daily basis.
