Question CDs appear to be stuck.

I have a 04 Mazda 6i with the Bose 6 CD player. This morning I ejected a CD and all was just fine, but when I went to put another CD in it just made a noise as if it were rotating something inside. The number of the CD on the display just keeps flashing and shows: CD on the display. Sometimes when I press eject it says: Disc out and makes noise like it is trying to eject the CD but it never comes out. Other times when I press eject nothing happens, no noise, nothing. It won't play any of the CDs that are still in there. I also tried to put a CD in, but it won't accept it (I could push it in until I can't grasp it anymore but I don't want it to get stuck halfway in the player) I don't have money to replace it atm, has anyone else experienced this problem? I don't mind ripping the dash apart to get to the CD changer. I can't stand listening to the radio (which still works btw). What about an ipod adapter? Somewhere I read that it wasn't compatiable with 04 6's. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This seems a fairly common problem with the changers.
Try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a while.
Its a long shot, but doesn't cost anything to try, and it just may work. But as I'd said, a long shot.

I too am having the exact same problem with my 04 6?? I too don't mind having a go at fixing this myself so am wondering if you have managed to sort out this issue. Tried disconnecting the battery but that doesn't seemed to have helped. Please help!

I did not try disconnecting the battery, but it doesn't sound like it would help anyways . It still doesn't work. I haven't really tinkered with it other than taking the fuses out. It still acts the same way (CD's spinning when I start the car, they don't play) and worst of all....I am FORCED to listen to the crappy radio . I wish there was a hookup for my Ipod. Looks like I'll be buying a new CD player for my car.
