I've been hit twice in as many years. Each time, I call MY insurance company first (which I've been insured with since age 16), go to THEIR claims center for THEIR estimate, and have THEM deal with the other insurance company. I pay the deductible, get a check from MY insurance company, and THEY demand reimbursement from the other insurance company. That's the kinda stuff we pay out the ying-yang for. I have my house and car insurance packaged together so if they screw me over, they lose it ALL.

Have YOUR insurance company deal with all this crap.
Agreed. With my accident, I contacted my insurance agent. They did all the stuff for me, and said the other driver is at fault. I have an appointment to go have my car looked at by a Nationwide approved collision center. (Nationwide is who I use.) Nationwide is paying for the damage, and will be collecting from the other drivers insurance company once they pay out for my damages being repaired.

State Farm is dealing with everything....it's their mess to figure out! I'm actually (hopefully) taking my car out there on Monday b/c my new rim is in and I haven't had a chance to go have them put it on. I'm actually going to have a nice bitch session with Joe (the guy I initially decided to trust) to get the scratches in my windows taken care of, my inside door jam that looks like crap, and my new passanger side window issue (there is something rough all over the window - you can feel it....almost seems like clearcoat overspray or something...i washed her today and noticed it when it wouldn't come off....i saw it the other day when it rained b/c i could barely see out of my window b/c it got all foggy like).... so yeah...we're going to have a real nice chat as to what's going to happen with my car....

Haha, that made me crack up! [sm=funnypostabove.gif]

Island, just remember, you don't need to raise your voice to get what you want. Speak in a professional manner and you'll more than likely be taken care of. BTW, I gurantee it's overspray on your passenger side window. Good luck today.

I get to take my car in today as well. My appointment was for Friday, but there was a BAD accident on the major road I take home that was blocking all lanes. So, i got stuck in the traffic right after I left work. I drove .7 miles in THIRTY minutes. Holy hell that was ridiculous! Hopefully it'll be all good today!

Hopefully this is the last update for this miserable experience! I went out there on Monday to have my wheel replaced and have everything else looked at. I was finally able to talk to the guy that I originally dropped my car off to and he was not happy with what he saw as I showed him the errors on my car (mainly crap his guys had done)....I even saw him reaming out the moron that had worked on my car (that was kinda fun!! this guy was an idiot). He watched over them as they fixed everything on my car and he's ordering a new pane of glass for my back small window, as well as having a glass buffer come out for my moonroof. He had them take care of all my other scratches and dings and even reglazed my hood b/c there were horrible swirl marks in it. Now I'm just waiting on the glass stuff to come in and I found one more chip in the paint that I need fixed....my baby is almost as good as new! They were great about taking care of the issues and I'm glad I finally got to talk to the guy that I first met b/c he took care of everything for me and actually seemed sorry! (he was on vacation when I originally picked it up). I'm not sure I would ever recommend this place, but at least they were willing to fix the issues tha I had!

[] It was dark out and I was backing out of my friend's driveway, and smack! I hit a metal wagon that had two sinks in it. It didn't go voer well with my rear bumper. Ergh! I am so mad, this week I am having such bad luck! Anyways I used some scratch X, and it's definately scratches, and their long and there's a lot of them on the right side of my rear bumper [] Oh well **** happens.
