Can anyone identify this strange noise?

Only when engine is cold. If it runs for 3 minutes and I restart the engine it won't do it again. Seems to come from right side (when sat inside) of the engine bay :(

p.s. engine is turning over slowly as its been sat for a week. Waiting for someone to do my strainer & injectors :(

well first thing..... go and get your battery load tested.

It really helps and I hope every member and none member read this.... when you ask for help give your vehicles information.

Hi Callisto, thanks for the suggestion.
Did you suggest this because of the slow starting of the car? I've been waiting to have some work done and the car has been stood for a good 2 weeks now without driving it. It usually turns over nicely.
I bought the car last year and it has some weird Ukranian branded battery in it :o

I don't give recommendation when there is first an apparent issue that needs to be addressed. FIRST!
The battery needs a full 12.5 volts to be properly load tested. Once , and I am pretty sure you get a new battery if the sound continues, please return to your thread and report.

Hi Callisto,
Can you recommend a battery?
I've been reading all sorts about AGM batteries but I'm having trouble finding Which one I need.
