A/C Again
 

I am back with more A/C issues. Until a couple of weeks ago I would press the AC button and set a temp on the HVAC control. The vents would set to recirc, air would cool and when it cooled to the set temp the vents would switch to pull air from outside. All worked great. All of a sudden the operation is intermittent and mostly inop. I press AC, sometimes it goes to recirc and doesn’t chill, sometimes doesn’t go to recirc. Mostly no chill and then suddenly lots of cool air maybe after 5 mins maybe after 20 mins. I assumed low refrigerant but when I put my gauge on the other day with engine turned off, pressure was in the ok range. Yes, I was using my cheap gauge that just says low, ok, high or critical. If I need to, I can get my good gauges. Anyone have any thoughts on issues other than random electrical issues?

in case it matters, most of time since this started outside temp has been between 25C and 30C and I have the HVAC set for 20C.
