Hi guys,
I have a Mazda 6 2010 model luxury sports hatchback, with the Bose sound system that came with the vehicle from the factory. Lately it has been playing up, in the sense that at random it would let out an extremely loud static type noise, which would last on and off anywhere between a few minutes to half an hour..... or it would let out a loud thumping type sounds repeatedly and at great speeds...... anyone experience this type of problem before? If so, what was your solution to fix the problem? Mazda dealer are claiming it to be a faulty amplifier and replacement for a new genuine model would be in excess of $4k......thoughts?

 

Common for these amps to die.

Cheapest option is a aftermarket stereo & facia kit.
