Default Ambient Air Temperature Sensor

Where is the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor located in a 2004 2.4L? My dash display of the ambient temp has stopped displaying.

And what seemed to be the problem with it? Did it come unpluggd or something.

My dash display of the ambient temp has stopped displaying the outside temp, and I was wondering if the sensor might have stopped working. What do you think?

Sounds like a good possibility to me! Under warranty? Take it back.
Or check to see that the damned thing didn"t simply come unplugged. It"s under the front bumper cover... somewhere?
You might also try resetting the PCM to see if it resets itself, but I"d guess that to be a long-shot.

Wait a minute! You have a 2004?
It could not have stopped working as it was never connected. They didn't have the ATD/S system, but the radio display has room for it.
I think it was 05 when they finally added the sensor/option.

Well...Yes it's a 2004...It had an Ambient Air Temperature readout on the dash display (next to the radio readout). I found the sensor (behind the front bumper), replaced it with a new one, now the dash display again shows the Ambient Air Temperature!

I also noticed that at about the same time that the Ambient Air Temperature display went out , the A/C system started not working "normally". Is there a connection between the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor & the operation of the A/C Ventilation system?
