Default Aircon repairs - seeking confirmation of correct parts

Hi All,

I am currently shopping for parts to fix my non-functional air conditioning (2008 2.0 Diesel Sport GH MZR-CD); I have already found a secondhand compressor and bought a new condenser including o-rings, which came with it. I need to buy a new a/c pressure switch and the two o-rings that sit over the ends of the pipes where they go into the compressor. I know the part numbers of the o-rings (BP8J-61-J17 and GJ6E-61-J19) but they seem to be ridiculously expensive if buying the genuine Mazda ones (unless you happen to live in Belgium, Japan, or the UAE) - is it possible to find generic (non-Mazda branded) o-rings the same size and spec at a lower price in the UK, and if so, where is a good place to buy them, please? As for the pressure switch, I think the part number is either B01A-61-503 or GJ6A-61-503 - please can someone confirm?

Thanks, John

John.... you should post what country you reside in because this effects the answers to best serve you with your question.

I bought the O-rings from a Mazda dealer, but the pressure switch doesn't seem to be available. Is there any way these switches can be tested (system is currently empty), perhaps off the car on some kind of test rig?

And when fitted and working, is it a simple case of it is either on or off, i.e. the multimeter should read x when A/C is on and y when it is off, or is there a gradual opening depending on what the temperature is set to, thereby affecting what the reading should be?
