2017 Mazda6 dead until battery disconnected
Car has 36,138 miles. Never ANY issues. Parked and it acted like the key fob was still in the car and door button or fob button would not lock it. Locked normally with physical key. Light on fob showed battery alive but changed it anyway. No joy. Tried dead fob battery trick (Mazda emblem on fob pushing Start button), no joy. Called for tow from AAA. Tech checked car battery, good. Added his jumper pack in parallel, no joy. He then disconnected the car's battery for 30 seconds, reconnected and now all well. ??? AAA Tech said he had seen this in the past but never on such a new car. Called Mazda and they want to see the car which of course I do not now trust. They said they have never seen this before. Taking it in next Wednesday. Anybody seen this?
