Hi,
New member and first post here.
I have a 2016 Mazda6 GT with the Tech Package. Bought it 10 months ago used, 36000 kms, no issues until now.
Was out of country for 3 weeks, came home to a dead battery. I jump started the car and it had a steady honk. (I did have the positive and the negative terminals connected of both cars... later I found out the right way from the manual). I used a key fob to silence it, but no luck. I didn't check the inside of the car for any messages at that time. So I disconnected the jumper cables. It became quiet. I tried to charge the battery again, this time there was no honking, either steady or like a pulse. Later I had the battery charged using a jumper/battery pack.
The current issue is the car won't start. I have yet to see the green light come on under the push button. It blinks red. I have held the brake and pressed it for upto 30 seconds (using the key fob to the push button), but no luck. If I do it, the car/infotainment either turns on or off. I also have the following lights on the dash, when I turn it on. Radio won't turn on. Keyless locks works fine. There are 5 malfunction messages including SCBS (front braking is disabled), DSC, Emergency brakes.
