It's still only 6 years old, but 205k is 205k. Do I start replacing pumps and components step by step, piece by piece, or do I try to unload the car, or do I keep it but get another car that would better hold up on a cross country drive (that I occasionally do)?
A LOT of highway miles on this manual tranny Mazda 6. Simply the best, most reliable car I've ever owned.
Body, except for a large crack and separation in the front bumper cover, is terrific. Two years of winter road salt in Cleveland, and now four years of dry hot desert roads in my new home in New Mexico. A lot of punishment on the suspension from the rough rural desert roads but still performs like a champ. Been religious with the oil changes, not so much with the other service intervals.
Other than a new alternator and a plug change, everything is original. Everything. No major problems ever, and really, no minor ones.
The car is wonderful, but now the miles are spooking me.
