Exclamation 2005 Mazda 6i 2.3L Automatic Trans

To be fair here's how it went.

I used to have a Isuzu Rodeo that I bought from my local Toyota dealership and everything went fine. I did my regular maintence and everything... But then all of a sudden my lower end of the engine died and I had a catastrophic failure.

I sold the Rodeo for 1000 and then proceeded to transact in a salvaged 05' mazda 6i 2.3L automatic engine from a private owner. I did the pre-inspaction myself and then was interested in buying the car. car has just over 70600 miles. and about a week ago I bought a K&N air filter and put that on.

Well even before I bought the car, I asked the person "IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR?" he said no. Other then he told me the front left headlight does not work and he would fix it with his money and would call me when it is ready.

I boght the car for 7000 and had it registered the next day. everything went fine, until I checked the dipstick.....

NO MOTOR OIL was in there and now my connecting rods went kaput.
So I am in need of a new set of connecting rods for the mazda and cant find the OEM ones one the net. I assume it is a $1,000 plus the labor Can someone please help? thank you for all your kindness.

How much time past between your pre-inspection and when you finally found out you had no oil?
This is a prime example of (see attached pic)
I'd want to talk to a lawyer.
You should also have a close look at your catalytic converters.
Oil or Antifreeze entering the exhaust system can block the air passages by creating heavy carbon soot that coats the ceramic catalyst. These heavy Carbon Deposits create two problems. First, the carbon deposits prevent the catalytic converter from reducing harmful emission in the exhaust flow. And second, the carbon deposits clog the pores in the ceramic catalyst and block exhaust flow, increasing backpressure and causing heat and exhaust to back up into the engine compartment. Your engine may actually draw burnt exhaust gasses back into the combustion chamber and dilute the efficiency of the next burn cycle. The result is a loss of power and overheated engine components. Possible causes are worn piston rings, faulty valve seals, failed gaskets or warped engine components.

When catalytic converter is clogged from oil, the backpressure on the engine will bend your piston connecting rods. Substrate from the catalytic converter can also enter your intake via the EGR valve causing damage.

A cause of converter clogging and contamination is excessive oil consumption. Worn valve guides or seals can allow oil to be sucked into the engine's combustion chambers. The same goes for worn or damaged rings or cylinders. Oil can form a great deal of carbon, and metals present in the oil can contaminate the catalyst.

Thank you for the response, I'll make a short video revving up a little bit maybe you can distinguish what it could be.. And to answer your question, only no more then 4 days is when I noticed cause i led to believe what the seller told me that he did a very recent oil change....

I just wanted to go to his house and bust everything to his car so he could pay the damage as well. Lying to a buyer as if nothing was wrong when right before I gave him the 7000 in cash i asked him right there and simple and i made sure he understood me, and ill mask his name *****, is there anything wrong before i buy?

"NOPE!" there isn't. "I even did a recent oil change"

So I proceeded to ask him where he got it changed and then went to the dealership where he got it changed "supposedly" and turns out the records show he never even drove the car there to get the oil changed...

Just tells you, DON'T BELIEVE people. They will want to make a dollar off of you just to get the item or whatever it is off their hands.

Does the sound go away or is continuous. I had a exhaust manifold leak that made a lot of noise but after 30-40 secs it was relatively quiet.
