mazda won't run
I bought a 2003 Mazda 6 from a used car lot, the owner couldn't fix it, they replaced the fuel pump, fuel rail and injectors.
It does start but immediately stalls. The gas pedal (electronic throttle) does nothing.
I noticed the intake tube is busted and the maf sensor is loose.
If I unplug the rear o2 sensor the car will stay running, idle Wil bounce between 500-1100 rpms and the car rocks back and forth. While in park. The temp gauge doesn't seem to work, or it remains at the lowest possible temp. The front coils have little 1/4 in cracks in each one near the pigtail.
The cel is on, the battery is junk. I managed to pull it forward and back it up without the rear o2 sensor plugged in. If the sensor is plugged in it will start with ease but immediately stall. Has no power either way.
The lot owner suggested a bad throttle, a bad computer, and started that after doing the fuel pump it ran around the block but then lost power and he bairly made it back to the lot. He stated there was water in the tank, and that the scanner( a cheap obd2 scanner) wouldn't read the car.

My girlfriends Protege 2003 is in the same situation. Stopped while waiting in park adn hasn't started since.
So far the mechanics have changed the coils, O2 and crankshaft sensor (due to codes). He even tested with another computer unit. About everything has been checked already. When trying to start only one ignition spark flash on the tester and then ... nothing. They are baffled.
Any ideas where to look next ?

To Biohazard_99.
My 03 Mazda 6 V6 is having a similar problem. Starts fine cold, but once it warms up the problems begin. I had also bought it broken and have been battling it. I fixed everything related to the codes and now they have all been cleared, with no results I am at the point were I have to dig into the mechanical side of the engine.
With the O2 sensor plugged in are you still getting codes and if so what codes are they?
