Thinking about purchase of MazdaSport5, need information

I am presently looking to purchase a 2006 Mazda Sport 5. I wanted to find some actual user information about this car first. Seeing how I get most my information for my VW at a Passt forum, I figured the Mazda forum should be as helpful.
At first glance there seems to be a tire issue. I could not find a definite answer as to exactly what models are affected (US/UK, tire or rim size)?
Also any general issues that seem to be a common relevant concern?
A thank you in advance to all that take the time to help me in this decision.

Jim

Hi Jim, a lot of us are in the UK, especially those of us moaning on about tyres (as we spell them). I think you have a better car over there in the States.

Over to you, Mazda 5 Community of The USA.......

We have had our 5 since January 07. We love it, perfect vechile for our family of 4, purchase price, fuel ecomony, driveability and parking all better than the larger van choices. We got a nice van for under $20,000 usd. The main thing I hate, the low profile tires and aluminum wheels. They are very supect to curb damage. Already had to replace one tire and wheel due to hitting a curb last winter. Philip, Indiana, USA, By the way, we traded in a 2000 VW Passat 1.8T. Like the car, but emission parts were failing left and right.

HI. I too traded a VW for my Mazda5 (also because of emissions parts). TheJetta was in theservice dept. at least annually for a new O2 sensor and MAF sensor...atLEAST.
I LOVE my 5. We've had a 2006 Touring model since July 06. I haven't had any issue with tire wear, but have had a small issue with bushings, apparently (according to the dealer service dept.) but the problem seems to be back or they didn't actually find the right problem the first time. Other than that and a few minor interior comfort complaints we all have (passenger armrest, rear air vents, etc.) it seems to be a great car. We are really happy with it. The zoom-zoom is a real phenomenon, too. Nothing likemy VW.
