Default Shorter Antennae?

Has anyone replaced their rubber ducky whip antenna with a shorter one? The standard antenna scrapes against my garage door - kind of a pain. . .I'm getting tired of tying it down. I tried a ducky from a Honda Element, though there was a minor loss of fidelity/reception.[:@]

CX-7 one will fit. It is about 2/3 of the length.

I'm pretty sure my Mazda has worse radio reception than our "other" car. So anyone having a good replacement antenna would be appreciated! I may have to put on one of those long bendy military vehicle antennas......sexy? or NOT so sexy....

My antennae for Sirius Satellite Radio is only about 1/4 inches high, it works great As For your standard FM antennae, haven't tried anything, I dont use FM ever really, so no need to try different antennaes (also, mine doesnt scrape the roof)
