Rocker panel?

Can anyone tell me or show me, preferably, what the rocker panel on the fender actually is? Thanks in advance and I apologize for my stupidity!! :D

No worries, but a rocker panel is not on or part of a fender. It is what you likely step over every time you get in or out of any vehicle. It's that long thin panel beneath the doors of a vehicle. It adds strength to the vehicle, and in modern unibody cars is actually part of the "frame" of the vehicle.

Mahalo for any information! Taking it to an autobody shop to repair the driver's side after an accident. The 5 is looking sad right now.

So what is the difference between that and the "rocker molding"?

Molding is for appearance, usually made of thin, plated metal or plastic. It offers no support for the body.
Icing on the cake is all.
