Default replacing headliner on first gen mazda5...

hey everyone... i have changed the headliner before on several cars but i have never changed one with the new air-bag system... was wondering if any of you have changed the headliner on your fives yet and if so do i have to disconnect the car battery so i could take the headliner off??? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You shouldn't need to disconnect any air bags to remove the headlining. The A post trims just clip off leaving the curtain airbags in situ. Work carefully around them and be careful of their wiring (yellow).

so should i disconnect the battery anyways??? you know to be on the safe side?
