hello this is mine 2 months old. anyone here could help me in getting a proper lowering springs for my toy? will the protege 5 springs work?

oh upgrade so far are 18 frd wheels fitted with 225/40/18 nexen tires, k&n typhoon 69 cold air, mtec cold blue 4000k bulbs

things i still want to have are lowering springs, cat back system, strut bars, and some real lite work wheels or rota

will 215/50/17 work on the 5. the originals are hard to find and expensive. what tire sizes has anybody put on there 5 and have had no problems. what tires would you recommend for the snow to.

If going down that route I'd get a set of the 16" steels for Winter.
I don't know where you are but here in Aberdeen we only get about a week of snow a year now, hardly worth a second set (although I have just taken off 20" wheels with 315 rears ! on our X5 & put on narrower 17s)

Ahhhh looks like your in the States (I'm in Aberdeen, Scotland) so you prob get some real snow (my Sisters moved to Chicago so I know how bad it gets)

Maybe a narrow 155 section or something snow & ice tyre would be good on the steel rims

man i love the phantom blue, have one myself. looking to lower, w/rims and maybe some more bass(my girl is fighting that one) but i do find the UK versions a bit ugly. they seem to have more of a "squarish" look. the US has a more aggresive look.
