Default No Brake Light + P0703/check engine

My 2009 has a P0703 DTC, check engine and none of the brake lights work either.

Fuse looked good but won't have time to check into the peddle switch before the weekend.

Am I overlooking anything simpler?
Are the brake peddle switch prone the fail?

Thanks!

My son had the day off and replaced the brake peddle switch. Now we have tail brake lights working.

The 3rd center is another story. It's rusted out, new one is $100 on the auction bay.

In case this helps anyone.

I picked up a set of trailer lights at Harbor Freight for $6.50 and RTV the led elements inside the original housing and spiced the wires. It required a bit of fiddling around but managed.

I got the light housing apart with a knife and prying without breaking everything. Afterwards I came across a few YouTube where people use a heat gun to soften the glue.

Check engine cleared itself and now all the stop light work. Weekend win.
