No 3rd row seats?

I'm looking at a 2009 Mazda 5 without 3rd row seats, were the 3rd row seats an option?

They were standard. Are they just folded down? Or did a precious owner remove them? If they are missing it could be a way to get a good deal on the car and find a set at pick n pull.

Thanks for the input, it looks like someone took them out and installed a "floor" it didn't look bad but the car was way to rough.
