Mazda5 - Furano
Hi All,
I am new to this forum having purchased a Mazda5 Furano 2L Petrol (2010) I know this is going to sound strange but Im not sure if I have done right by purchasing this. Reasons being is that coming from a VW Golf these Mazda's do not seem to be be as widely available - spare parts etc. Im just hoping you guys can re-assure me and that I should just await for it to be delivered and enjoy. I have noticed I cant find much documentation on it for example - I need a drivers/owners manual, not sure where the spare tyre goes. Please kindly advise your experiences - hopefully positive. Thanks |
You shouldn't expect a car that sold a couple hundred thousand examples (in EUR) to one that's sold over 10 million to have as many parts available.

Hi,
Thanks.. I totally understand. Didnt realise at first, but I guess I should have picked that up when searching on Auto Trader. |
Parts are easy to get as a lot is Ford based or easy to get from dealers. Spare tyre is space saver and located in boot floor under the lift out tray. They are good cars but a bit thirsty and geared low so not the most efficient on fuel at high speeds. But the sliding doors just make up for it all

Hi,
Thanks.. I purchased a spare alloy for £50 only to realise it didn't fit as a spare. So brought space saver for £50 and put it in the space saver location in the back. I found out about how thirsty it is. Here in UK I topped up the tank to full at approx. £80 and got about 220 miles before the petrol light came on. That was about 80% local driving with the remaining motorway. Got it services so lets see if its a little better. But as you said sliding doors are great when you got kids and the leathers are a bonus in the Furano. |
