My 2006 Mazda 5 2.3L Automatic runs great. No issues except when I have had the car running for a long time (over a 2 hour trip) then fill up after the trip. Once the tank is filled up again the car won't start at the fuel pump. It has happened twice now. The engine just turns over but won't fire. Let it sit a little and then have to apply gas while turning over to get the engine to start. Then it idles really low for a few seconds.

Is my fuel pump starting to flake out, crank sensor? I don't know! Any suggestions or ways to narrow in on the problem. Going on a trip with it over Christmas and can't have this problem leaving us at the pump. Thanks
