What is a "57 plate" Mazda5?

 

there's not a plug in just below the gear shift?

 

a 57 plate is an 07 model in the U.K. anyone please feel free to correct me, but as I understand it, the plates over there are either (as in the case with an 07 model) 07 or 57.

1. On the UK Mazda 5, the lighter is recessed immediately in front of the gear stick. It is very difficult to see it is so far back under an over-hang of the centre console. There is also a 12V socket right at the back of the car for a cool-box or such like.

2. You're right about the year identifications - an 07 plate would be issued between March and August 2007. A 57 plate would be issued between September 2007 and February 2008.
