How to Replace Front Wheel Stud
I was fixing a flat when one the wheel stud broke off. Anyone done wheel stud replacement here? Any special tools or tricks on doing it? Any help is appreciated.

The shop wants $60 to replace the stud so I may just try it myself first since the part is only $10. Any pointers?

Hey, that looks pretty easy, even for a DIY'er. Wish I had a broken stud to try it out - oh wait, no I don't. ;-)

That was a great video, part at end "dinner's ready" is classic. Mechanic working in garage all the time, LOL.
I am surprised no harm comes to wheel bearing and seals with that big sledgehammer swing. I would have thought they would have removed the hub assembly to protect damage to wheel bearings, seals. |
