Hot Rod Parts
Sure! As lnwlf has said, most parts that fit the 3 series also fit the 5, though rear spring rates are a bit higher on the 5, so springs design to fit a Mazdaspeed3 would be the way to go. For example, I know the Koni FSD system for the MS3 is the same as it is for the 5 series.
Other than that, have at it with shock, struts, sway bars and coilovers that fit the regular 3 series.

I want to get cold air induction, header pipe, and a cat back dual tip exhaust for right now. I had toyed with the idea of a turbo, but I want to be sure I can get better axle ratio and limited slip like device. I have never tuned Mazda's, but I did hear about the similarities with the 3's. The car is a 2012 and there arent any in a 3 yet, so I didnt know if the parts would swap. I do want suspension too, so those suggestions are appreciated.
as with all new model vehicles, after market parts will be a little slow coming out. but as long as the 3 and the 5 use the same engine the parts will fit with the exception of the exhaust. it can be modified to fit but will probably be cheaper to find a good exhaust shop and have them make up a custom exhaust for you. what brand of header are you thinking about? from what I hear Vibrant is the way to go, may cost a bit more but worth it in the end. I believe the stand alone ecu's will be compatible as well.
as far as the turbo... if you have an automatic... don't even bother unless you want to spend $3000-$4000 to beef up the tranny, that's on top of the $3000-$4000 for a turbo kit. I think, (my opinion) the best way to go would be to find a speed3 that has been wrecked with a good engine and tranny and swap everything over, to include the ECU. then you would have a speed5.
