help needed to figure out metallic grinding noise.
the noise comes from the front end and happens only when slowing down. feels like when vehicle is engine braking.
the noise disappears if i accelerate or thow the car into neutral while coasting or braking
i have checked the rotors and brake pads all seem ok.
vehicle specs.
2013 mazda Premacy, skyactive. 2.0pe-vps skyactive engine with the skyactiv 6speed Auto transmission

any help with this will be much appreciated

 

Without the use of chassis ears ( small wireless microphones ) its virtually impossible to diagnose.

I would get your local mechanic to test drive it for you.

 

Have Done that already unfortunately they too have no idea where the noise is comming from
