I'm trying to replace rear calipers but the hand-brake line is fully attached. I can slide the crimp off the spring, but it will never fit through the hole.
Do they expect us to cut the crimp off the cable just to get it out? Am I missing something very obvious?
There is a rusty clip that is holding the cable housing to the caliper body.......remove the clip (it should have an open side to it) and the cable housing (which is larger in diameter than the crimped end) and cable will be able to be removed then. The rusty clip is located in your red circled area, on the left side in your picture.
