Center armrest for 2012 Mazda 5?

Hi All!

I just purchased Mazda 5 GT for my wife after lots of back and worth between that vehicle and CX-9. We decided that advantages of Mazda 5 (nimble, handles like a car, sliding rear doors, gas mileage, much lower prices) outweigh disadvantages. I still wanted CX-9, but, hei, my wife wanted Mazda 5.

One thing I can tell right away that I don't like though: center armrests. Those stupid tiny thingies *must* be replaced with a single central pad.

Looking at it, best would be to put a pad over both driver and passenger "armrests". Does anybody have a hint on a place that would sell those? I'd be surprised if *nobody* makes one and it would have to be custom. Perhaps slide over both and connect below with velcro? Black leather.

thanks,

-Iv

Look like dead silence despite 94 views..

are people happy with their armrests or don't know of any place to get that fixed? Would anybody be interested in a group purchase? I'm thinking of a piece which should be sandwitched between driver and passenger armrests, but not sure how to attach it in a removable fashion.

Iv72,
Here's a web page for the UK Mazda with add on Arm Rest, don't know if you can order one or not, will hopefully be getting my M5 by the end of the month.

I'll chime in just so you don't feel ignored :)

I am happy with my armrest, and know of no product on the market that does what you want. Not to say there inst one..

One suggestion though, I bet you could go to an upholsterer and they could easily fabricate one for you to your specs... no idea what that would cost, but I am sure it can be done.

Good luck! Post again when you find a solution, never know, someone else may want the same some day :)
