Default Airbag sensor resistance

My flashing airbag light ( and the OBD diagnosis as well) tells me that the computer cannot read the front chrash sensor. Since such a sensor is hell expensive, I wonder whether I could check the sensor by measuring the resistance, just to make sure it is the sensor and not the cable. Does anyone know what the resistance of such a sensor would be?
Thanks in advance.

Does your scan tool show live data? ie the current resistance on each SRS circuit.

No, it only shows error codes. So, I do not know whether the cable has a problem or the sensor is faulty.

Meanwhile I installed a new/used sensore and I examined the old one: The sensor contains a Bosch chip which is connected via a kind of bus. So it does not have a diagnostic resitor and cannot be measured by a conventional meter. Also therefore it is pretty cumbersom to test the wireing. I am glad that in my case it was indeed the sensor.
