Thumbs up 2009 vs. 2010

Hey guys.

The Mrs. and I have been test driving a lot of vehicles and have narrowed down a few choices. The Mazda 5 being a front runner...except it does not come with traction or stability control. I find this to be odd as Mazda is labeling this as the family hauler. Canadian winters make these options attractive.

We are on the verge of making a purchase...but we may hold off if new information becomes available. So my question is does anyone know what the 2010 model year will bring? The 2010 Mazda 3 came out early and now has traction and stability control. Will the Mazda 5 follow suit? I also heard the bigger 2.5 engine may be an option. (drive)

Thanks!

Do we know anything about the 2010 model yet? has anything been released? I am curious to see what the details will be.

(BTW I find it funny, that the ad above the quick reply as I write this is for a Pontiac Vibe - A brand that will soon no longer exist - not to mention the fact that the ad is on a Mazda website - too funny)

Default Mazda5 2010

Few details found about Mazda5.
Well for me to, the stability control is a major point for my next Mazda. It is inconceivable in 2010 they didn't put that; I think it is and will be a very rare new car to don't have that yet!!
Mazda5 Likely Sporting Few Changes for 2010

I hope they are intelligent enough to correct that "problem".
The closest competitor for Mazda5 is Kia Rondo.
They have that security system, but in America (Canada & US) it is only with Automatic transmission!!

Well, my decision is: I will wait for more details.

A latest find I made NO STABILITY CONTROL IN MAZDA 2010.

That's strange. In Norway traction control and dynamic stability control has always been available on Mazda 5 (I've got a 2006 Mazda 5 with both).

But then again, I think all new cars in Norway have such equipment now. No one wants to buy a car without it.
