Default 2007 model?

Can anyone recommend a good source of info on changes for the 07 model year? The good people at the Mazda customer service number didn't answer our questions, claiming they don't know yet (!) what the changes for next year will be. We like the 5 a lot - our kids LOVE it - but we have some concerns about it and are wondering whether to wait for the next model year to buy.

First, given the recall, I feel more comfortable with a factory solution (good quality control) than with a dealer service upgrade. Second, it really bugs me that the first and second row seats each only have one armrest.

Any ideas, rumors, or sources for us to continue our info search?

Thanks in advance.

Dbrowdy,

I wouldn't worry about the recall, anything you buy now will have this fix already (from the factory). Anyway, the fix was a fix for what I see as a non-problem. The recall consisted of a reprogramming of the Auto tranny to prevent idiots from driving on the highway in 2nd gear!!! The rest of it was a change to one of the heat shields and the muffler. Niether of which are neccessary if you don't do highway speed in second gear!

Mind you if you have the second armrest, I can see it getting damaged easily when you try to get out of the car quickly!

From what I understand the 2007 is bringing espresso brown leather(heated), two new colors.....plum and galaxy grey and HID headlights. I found this info. on another forum. They always seem to have new and better options a year later. I am waiting till they come out in the fall. I am trading in an RX 8....need cargo space for my new jewelry business.
